About Us

Austin County State Bank was originally founded October 2 ,1909 with $25,000.00 in capital. Max Bader was born 3 miles east of Bellville. He assisted and helped organize Austin County State Bank thus became the first bank president. Mr. Bader believed in establishing roots in a community and roots in a financial institution.

Texas Financial Bancorporation, Inc acquired Austin County Bancshares and Austin County State Bank February 25, 1997. About four years later, Wells Fargo purchased Texas Financial Bancorporation and First State Bank of Texas (aka ACSB).

In 2007, Austin County State Bank was re-established by local businessmen and women in Bellville, Texas. We were and still are committed to building strong financial and personal relationships with business owners, individuals and families in the communities we serve.

In November 2018, ACS Bank opened our first branch in Sealy, Texas, followed by the opening of our third full-service branch in Godley, Texas, on September 16, 2019. We also manage a Loan Processing Operation (LPO) in Fort Worth, Texas.

As we branch out to serve businesses and consumer customers, we want to serve each community by actively being involved in local charities and community events.
