About Us
When a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate®, or CASA.
In 2016 in Texas, through the 71 local CASA programs 9,131 volunteers served 27,953 of the 48,795 children in CPS custody; this left nearly 44% of those children without a CASA volunteer.
Our goal is 100% advocacy, for each child to have their own individual CASA Advocate to speak up for their best interests in court. Every child deserves a chance ... That chance could be YOUI!
